Of old friends...

Met up with a few of my primary school classmates on saturday, and it was great. To see Dev and Wen, Julian and Shalina, all together was fantastic. Its been too long since we last went out together, and with Wen and Eeps in Australia and Dev in Atlanata, its kinda hard to get all of them together at once.

We had dinner at LOT 1. That was my choice as I had to rush there from West Coast Park( was there for my dad's office's family day...promised I would go...). The food at Let's Eat was pretty good... and the company was better, and by the time we were done, it was around 9.

We moved on to coffee bean, where we had some nice frappucinos, and dev attempted to get free cakes by hitting on the waitress... heh! In the meantime, Julian came down from NUS, leaving his bacteria for a while. We chatted for a while, before Dev and Wen suddenly decided to watch fahrenheit 9/11. So we went up to check the time, and the next show was at 1130pm. Everyone could make it, and after buying the tickets, we went over to my place for the one-and- a-half hour time gap.

We chatted about our school days, and wondered what happened to the rest of our classmates. We took some photos, before i drove them back to the cinema.

The movie is a very well made documentary, but you have to keep reminding yourself that this is not the absolute bible truth. Its also pretty bloody and violent at times. However, it does raise some pretty interesting questions.

After the movie, my dad (he didn't trust me to drive alone at 2am) drove everyone back, with me driving part of the way. It was pretty fun. We banter a lot, and my dad jokes around a lot too... so it was quite noisy in the car for most of the trip.

Dev is going back to the US tomorrow. Don't know when he'll be back again. He's only got 2 modules left in this, his last sem in university. He's done pretty well, being in the president's list a few times during his term. Combine his grades with his charm, confidence and looks, and I'm sure he'll go far.

Wen is doing a one year research at NUH. We should be meeting up quite a few times for lunch... hopefully. We'll see... .

Shalina has one more year to go in NUS computer engine, while Julian is doing life sciences here as well.

As for me... I don't really know. Of the 5, I'm probably the one with the least clear aims and directions... so... we'll see where time takes me...

It was a great saturday...Its always nice meeting good old friends... and I hope we always remain so...
